This is a beginners class on how to put together an estimate. It covers takeoffs from electronic blueprints, organizing the estimate, and figuring your overhead and profit. A basic understanding of excel is needed.

This course covers ventilation strategies for a healthy building highlighting how energy recovery saves a system and how to apply air purification systems (includes energy code) 

Ken Adams

Ken Adams is a construction management professor at Utah Valley University and has been in the construction industry for the past 25 years. He has always had a passion for construction and thoroughly enjoys going to work each day. While earning his construction management degree he worked for Mountain Fuel (now Questar Gas). Afterwards he moved to South Carolina and worked as superintendent and project manger for six years when Paul Magleby convinced him to move back to Utah and run Magleby Construction’s remodel division. Since then he has been heavily involved in the NAHB Remodelers and served as SLHBA Remodelers chair person in 2009 and has been part of the NAHB Green committee. 

Joe Touhuni

Joe is a  Mechanical Engineer graduate  with 11 Years HVAC Distribution experience with 3 distributors. He is a "lifer" in the HVAC industry, and always strives for the best in HVAC products.  He has assisted in the design of Commercial and Industrial HVAC systems. He was trained by Carrier in sales engineering with both applied and unitary products.
